a new year for new ways

Everyone seems to make crazy new years resolutions that only end up lasting at the most a month or so. So I was going for a different route and start a blog. This is mostly for me just to write down my thoughts and to tell about crazy things that happen to me during the school year.

So today is new years eve and Im going to go bowling with a few close friends and then back to my house to chill and bring in the new year. It's nothing too special but I wouldn't want to bring in the new year with any one else than a few of my closest friends.

But as the past year comes to an end, I have been thinking how much I have grown over the past year and how much things have changed. In my second year at Ohio State I have already learnt more then I could ever imagined and experienced more things that I have dreamt about for years. I am truely grateful for everything that has happened to me in the past year even if they did get me down. It is the bad days that make the good days that much better. I got through this year with a little help from my friends and family. I love them to death and I think i could be one of the luckiest people on earth. And, for the new year that is soon to come here is my new years resolution. (lets see how long it lasts)

1.) Read atleast 5 books not required for school.

2.) Grow deeper in the faith that I know and love. Become closer to God and be more faithful.

3.) Do one spontaneous thing a week.

4.) Workout a few times a week.

5.) Be happy and don't sweat the small stuff.

There it is.

Every time I write I'll try to leave you with a clever quote so here it is.

"You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. "
