Wow, were my prayers answered or what. We got a snow day today at THE Ohio State University. The first time in atleast a few years. I need time to catch up on chemistry mostly, and I was supposed to have a quiz today! :) So that can be put off for a few more days! yipee!
The only thing is I was supposed to go into clinicals today for a fun day and they were cancelled which is depressing! but the exciting event will probably be moved to tomorrow anyways.
But other than that, I wanted a day to relax and Wednesdays are the perfect day because it is in the middle of the week and they are really hectic for me anyways!
So that is my short but sweet thought for the day.
Go have fun, throw some snow, be careful and remember GO BUCKS!
Snowflakes are kisses from heaven.
keep on keepin on!
God Bless

sunday sunday
So today was my first intermural game. I showed up with 3 other girls from my unattached team. So thats means we forfeit. So shitty! But we still played a pickup game with a bunch of people. So all is still well. I got stuck playing forward because everyone was scared to death of it for some reason so I got a lot of running in. We played a solid 45 min game and I did not sit down once. So i was impressed wtih my endurance and the fact that I still have some sweet ball handling skills. I had 6 shots on goal. 6 solid shots if I may add. A header to the upper 90 blocked by the freaking cross bar! 3 Straight to the goalie and One wide left and one hard shot lower 90 that he dove for a blocked. But lets just say I was impressed with myself because I have not played an actual game of soccer since last winter. As the game went on I dropped back to D and then Finally to Goal, my long lost home :) where I made 2 sweet saves.
SO moral of the story....I am still as sweet as I was in highschool soccer. Just a tad bit slower haha!
As for the rest of my weekend. It also rocked. I went to church today with Nate and I ended up sitting by a Blind guy. He was nice and made conversation with me, which turned into hitting on me = a very uncomfortable Kristen. Nate couldnt help from laughing at me. Then there were these 3 Ladies that sit on the stairs every week at noon mass and yell "Curtis" when they ask for intentions from the crowd. In which Nate and I of course could not keep a straight face for.
So basis of this story...were going to hell haha. But atleast God has a sense of Humor right.
After my soccer game I went to play 3 games of raquetball with Gable. in which i won 2/3 enough said haha.
untill next time

Winter quarter at it's finest
So another week down at THE Ohio State University. And a week is a long time during Winter quarter. Which is by far the worst quarter at Ohio State each year. The snow, lack of sun, short quarter and more work combination is lethal and I suggest if you could avoid it to definitely try to! If it was up to me I think I would rather go to school from March to December rather September to June. Well most of the time that is because I hate getting up in the winter (and I am somewhat of a morning person, comparatively speaking to those in college ha ha) I hate the winter now that I have grown up. I used to live for snow days in Ohio because with a light dusting of an inch or so Lima would go on total shutdown thinking that WHITE DEATH had arrived. But Columbus is a totally different story or just actually Ohio State is. This past week we had around 5 inches of snow and a windchill of -20 and we still had class on Thursday and Friday. Talk about Cruel and unusual punishment. I had to walk to Chem lab while it being -20. I had more clothes on than I ever thought possible and while I was walking my snot crystallized in my nose and up through my brain (and yes mom I wore my scarf over my face) It was just pure misery. But toward the end of the day yesterday I realized the situation was foolish to be mad at and I started looking around at people and realized we all look ridiculous in the clothes we were wearing and watching people slide down the street while walking to class is hysterical. So I popped on some good Jon McLaughlin on my Zune and watched the show.
Another great thing when its cold out you realize who your friends really are. They pick u up and take u to class across campus in their warm cars or Pick you up at night so you could hang out with them at their apartments. Good people of the night last night: Mallory, Jerod, Nate.
I got to visit all of these people last night for a little while because they were nice enough to pick me up on a Friday night to hang. (what can I say....People love me ha ha)
One last high point about winter at OSU. Our campus is beautiful when it is covered in snow and the sun is shining! Our campus is always beautiful but it was gorgeous yesterday with the sun shining off the snow. It always a good day to be a Buckeye when the sun is out in Columbus.
Here is the quote of the day. Sorry I didn't put one up last time.
Winter is nature's way of saying, "Up yours." ~Robert Byrne
Keep on keeping on!
go live your dream! =)

the things that I love the most about my life
There are alot so I will get to that in a minute. But today I had a pretty spectacular day. I got 11 hours of sleep last night yes that is right 11 hours of sleep! It was truely glorious and long over due. Then I had my raquetball class, which is truely the best class I have ever taken and I met a cool girl named Melissa and we played a game in which i totally dominated which is no surprise haha. The day took a slight dip when chem lecture came around but quickly went away when jimmy picked me up for clinicals and we headed back to Woody.
I now love going to football clinicals so much more than before because 1. we dont have to watch practice and hold water and 2. I actually learn things and get to be independant of others. It was good to see familiar faces again and get back into the swing of things. The number one reason why I love that I went back to football is that it feels like home. they say you are supposed to be up for change but I am the kind of person that takes a while to change and when I finally get there. I definatly do not want to change again. But ya, in short my day rocked and so does my life.
Things I love...the first of many lists to come
1. School, being here at OSU just is amazing. I miss home, some days alot but this has become a second home. All of my friends besides about the 4 that I still have from highschool live here and live with me. Plus my brother is back in town. So who coulda ask for much more? other than having my parents move to columbus but that prolly wont happen anytime soon.
2.My family. the best people i could possibly ask for. They are there for me everyday. I call my parents everyday almost because I do consider them 2 of my best friends. and now that my brother lives in columbus I get to hang with him alot more and catch up on lost time since he moved to the south for a few years. (plus he is getting to be a really good cook)
3. My roommates. Madeline, my funny funny roomie that I have gotten really close to lately because I am around the room more and we pretty much have the same sense of humor which I love. Ash, we get along most of the time but we fight sometimes. But I think thats good, we both are stubborn and dont back down...I think some days its just fun to mess with her and she knows that haha. Megan, My love haha shes a goof ball...but keeps me sane. And last but not least, Kay Kay, the one who has to actually share a room with me for going on 2 years! I love this girl and she is my Best friend! no one knows me better than she does I think she knows stuff about me that i dont know about myself. (and thats scary) but I would die without her and I dunno what I am going to do without her next year not having to share a room. But atleast she will just be right upstairs :)
4. David archuleta.
5. Music in general haha especially country. It is always a bad day when your ipod dies on the way to class.
6. My major. Athletic training is probably the greatest major on the face of the earth. Not that i am bias or anything but, we rock. watch sports and practice medicine all day. ya your jealous! haha but really. I love it. I want to read about it, which is weird because I dont enjoy reading at all. It challenges me everyday and makes you look at sports in a whole new way.
7. My faith. this should be higher on the list, but stuff happens ya know? I love catholicism. The tradition. everything. my roommate is now even thinking about joining the catholic church now :) which makes me really excited! because she could come to church with me! and i always love a church going buddy, although I already got a small posse. There is always room for one more.
8. grandma's spaghetti! ya that should def be higher on the list but whose counting. My grandma hands down makes the BEST SEASHELLS ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. No one can match up to her cooking actually.
9. The sun...i need a happy lamp in my room
10. cowboys
just a small list...but ya I have to do chem homework
peace
keep livin the dream

pet peeves!
well the past few days my roomate and I have been asking eachother questions to get to know eachother and to get ready for the "how well do you know your roommate" game downstairs in which we placed 4th because we got screwed on 2 questions. But its cool we were still sweet! But in honor of that here is a list of my 15 biggest pet peeves.
1.Strawberry Applesauce...you cannot have strawberry applesauce. It is either strawberry sause or applesauce. period. Because strawberry applesauce doesn't even taste like apples...enough said.
2. When people in the room next to you crack up laughing histerically and you go ask what is so funny and they say nothing.
3. when the elevator goes up a floor instead of to the floor you press.
4. When you go to Newman Center mass and there is always 3 Baptisms or 17 people introduced to the church. I'm sorry. This sounds really bad but everytime I go and I am really getting into mass they seem to have something to divert your attention from the readings and the Homily. I JUST WANT A GOOD HOMILY...uninterrupted.
5. when the water pressure goes out in the shower and then comes back on in full force and you feel as if your skin will peel off your body.
6. When a video freezes when you are trying to watch it.
7. Asians that run and don't pick up their feet. They all seem to do this shuffle-drag-your-feet run.
8. When someone poops while you are in the shower...making it feel like your bathing in an aroma of poo.
9. waiting on Buses
10. Chemistry
11. people not using their turn signals
12. people leaving their turn signals on while driving down the street.
13. petition people on high street that ask you if you have time to save the world.....I always answer no and I laugh so not really a pet peeve I guess
14. losing my carmex
15. picking up the wookies of hair out of the shower drain.
haha well that was fun. But I feel like a lot of things annoy me so tommorow maybe I'll do things that I love about my life. There will prolly be a lot more than 15 because my life is pretty sweet.
The first week of classes is already done. 9 more weeks of survivng Chemistry. I can't wait until football practice gets back into full swing and my life will be hectic again, just the way I like it :)

the beginning of the end of total relaxation in beantown
So I absolutely love coming home. More so than going back to columbus somedays but after almost a full month in Lima I think I am ready to go back to the madness which is known as The Ohio State University. I am ready to learn new things (besides chemistry) and live the dream once again. I miss my roommates and friends from the tower and my AT people like crazy. I miss spending my free time in the AT room at Woody. I miss the lack of sleep and crazy enough I miss my roommates snoring habits and her witty banter all together!
All good things come to an end as they say so I think my long stay in beantown is finally done. For the first time in a month I am bored and I am very very surprised it lasted this long. Lima consists of nothing but a lot of people and traffic and a medocre mall and 0% night life. But I have caught up on rest, played alot of mariokart and seen alot of old friends. I accomplished everything I was planning on besides going skiing at Mad River. I spent long nights with 3 of my best friends, although our chicago trip was cancelled I think we made up for it in our own ways. I watched a long list of movies some good(step brothers, elf :), marley and me, 4 christmases) some odd(burn after reading) but none horrible.
So as I spend my last 24 hours in beantown I hope to finish on a good note by chillazin with the fam once again because I can't get enough especially when I know I wont be back for a month of so because of school.
So I leave you with this.

God Bless and good night
